Hyrule Warriors is a spinoff of the Zelda games with a hack and slash style more similar to that of Dynasty Warriors. Various characters such as Link, Zelda, Impa, Lana (an entirely original character), Darunia, Ruto, Midna, Agitha, and Fi battle against villains such as Cia and Ganondorf.

It is not in continuity with the Zelda series, taking place in a timeline of its own.

The bosses are defeated with a series of attacks, depending on how the character attacks (for instance, Link attacks with his sword). Also who defeats the boss is sometimes dependent on who the player chooses (although often characters who wield specific elements are recommended for certain stages). Once defeated, bosses explode into Rupees (exceptions will be noted below).

  • King Dodongo - Destroyed in battle by Link
  • Gohma - Destroyed in battle by Link, Impa, or Sheik
  • Manhandla - Destroyed in battle by Link, Impa, Sheik, or Lana
  • Argorok - Destroyed in battle by Midna or Lana
  • Zant - Destroyed in battle by Midna or Lana. Was later revived by Ganondorf
  • The Imprisoned - Destroyed in battle by Link or Fi (possibly catapulting a bomb at him with the Groosenator).
  • Wizzro - Destroyed in battle by Link with the Master Sword
  • Ganondorf - Destroyed in battle by Link with the Master Sword. Was later revived through his last spirit fragment
  • Volga - Destroyed in battle by Link, Zelda, Impa, Lana, Darunia, Midna, or Fi.

  • Argoroks 2 and 3 - Destroyed in battle by Link, Zelda, Impa, Lana, Darunia, Midna, or Fi
